For the past four years I've been writing stories, without even thinking about putting them on a website. Then, in February of this year, I stumbled upon Writing.com. Ever since then, whenever I come up with a new idea I post it here. Writing.com has one of the greatest writing communities I've seen. Everyone is friendly, and the reviews and constructive critiscim I've gotten have helped to make my writing a lot better. I love reading other peoples' work and reviewing it. I've gotten some of my friends involved in this website, and they've all thanked me. All in all, Writing.com has a great community.
I'm not sure how I found Writing.Com, but I'm sure glad I did. I have learned so much from this site. My writing has improved tremendously since becoming a member. So many wonderful stories to read and things to do. I've spent countless hours here, just reading stories. Writing.Com is truly in a league of it's own.
I've been writing for a little under 2 months now. I've always loved reading though. I remember when I was younger reading a new novel every other day. I always pictured myself writing a novel and how much fun it would be. So I decided I'd give it a try. Did'nt turn out well. So I gave it up, vowing never to return. Then along came a writing contest, I wanted to enter really badly. So I began looking for good writing websites. And I stumbled upon writing.com. I didn't win the contest but I found the best website on the internet. And to top it all off thanks to the great community I've managed to being my first novel "Levan". Thank you writing.com!!!!!!!!
I think I fell into this amazing world of writers by accident. I clicked the wrong space. It became the right(write?) one for me. I feel so comfortable in here. The reviewers are very good, they have your best interests at heart and they know how you feel. There is always someone that will help you improve your technique. I like it here - I may never get out alive!
Writing.com is more like a lesson in writing and friendship and reviewing. My discovery of this site has been a therapeutic learning experience. The friends I've made are beyond compare. I've learned so much in such a short period of time! Thank you so much for sharing this site with us!
Writing.com is one of the best resources I have found to help me develope as a writer. I have been told I have wonderful skills, but... There have been a lot of but's, and things that I needed to improve. Without writing.com as my tool and my network of readers, I would have been stuck in the same worm hole I was in. I still have so much more to learn, and I depend on this site, I depend on the great people of this site and without them, I would not have come as far alond as I have. I want to thank writing.com for helping me open my eyes to the things I needed to improve, to become a better writer. I am still relying on this site to help improve my craft. I could not have done it without them, and I am so greatful. I love the kudo's so much, but eagerly take the critisim and the help, because without it I would not have the hope to one day get my writing read by others, and be one day published. Still crossing my fingers. Thank you writing.com for being not just for myself, but for all of us. I have been a part of this amily for 10 months now. I have learned from other writers and staff who has taken the time to also review my work. I have writting on other sites, but I have gotten honest feedbck from writing.com. I rarely get a review that just says great poem. Not to say I have not but they are and few. I have worked very hard to develope my craft, and I have my fellow writers to thank for that here on writing.com.
I believe writers block is created by the writer itself when he/she gets too lazy to write. It's also the result when writers gets bored with their writing . www.writing.com brings back the fun in writing and is the cure to any writers block and i will bet 1000 gift points on that. They are the muse you've been looking for. Keep up the good work.
It's been just over a month since I joined writing.com. The support and encouragement I've received has been wonderful. Within the first two weeks, finished the first chapter in my novel! The give and take nature of the site works on so many levels. Both experienced and inexperienced writers can share their work, hone their skills, and offer feedback and support to others. The games and contests allow members to kick back and have some fun. We all need that when we're working hard. Thank you, writing.com!
Writing.com has been my lifeline, a place I can come to relax and write without fear. I really can not say enough about writing.com. I needed a place to put my stories out for others to read in the same way that the stories fight to get out of my head at times.
I can't say enough good things about this website! I stumbled across this site as I was looking for general writing resources. What I found here was so much more--a fun and supportive community that has changed my whole outlook about writing. This site has stretched me, increased my focus and creativity, and just simply made me a better writer. I highly recommend it.
Thanks for all you do here. It is a good home for my writing.
I've always wanted to write short stories. After taking a writing class a few years ago, I wanted to write even more, but I wanted my writing to be posted somewhere where someone would read it. A few weeks ago I put "Writing short stories" in Google and was referred here. I've spent hours each day here ever since. I love to play the in & outs games,to write, and to read other peoples work. Thanks for the great site!
I first logged on to this site looking for the fantasy novel. Not just any fantasy novel but the perfect novel. I found it in an interactive called realm drifter. It had everything that I wanted in a story, Dragons, their riders, magic, romance, not to mention a writer to put it all together perfectly. I was stunned by the complexity of the storyline and registered to the site imedeatly. Since then I have added a few chapters myself. This story, no the entire site has given me the insperation I needed to spark my own writing. This is only the begining for me and there will be much more coming.
I was looking around for a monologue in March 2007 when one of the best monologues ever popped up on my search. It was from this website. After I looked at other poems and monologues from this website, I decided to give myself a chance to publish my poems in here. I'm loving it. This was the best investment of my life. Thanks, Writing.Com!
I've been writing for many years but only recently began to take it seriously and attempt to reach my goal of publication. I found writing.com a few months ago and have been addicted to it every since. There is so much to do on this site. You can post what you write and receive constructive reviews, create a huge variety of items, procrastinate by doing madlibs or quizzes, or chat with fellow members. I work in a very unimaginative job as a litigation collector. I keep this site pulled up on my computer all day so that I have something creative to do in between calls. Thanks for this!!
I recently came upon Writing.Com, looked around, read some postings, and thought it might be fun to join and submit a few things. I am overwhelmed by the friendliness, encouragement, and positive spirit of the folks here. This is a true community. Several years ago I was part of the Women's community on AOL, and Writing Dot Com reminds me of the camaraderie we used to have there. There are people of all ages and stages of life, sharing their ideas and encouraging one another. What a great place to visit!
I had never considered posting my work online until I found Writing.Com. I love coming here to read others' writing, and posting my own! Writing.Com has also improved my own writing... It has made the writing process a lot funner. (Not that it wasn't to begin with.)

I discovered Writing.Com just a few days ago having trawled through many other websites. Have to say this site tops them all. Receiving feedback from fellow writers and getting merits and awards is an incentive to write more. I am now hooked on this site and already working on another short story. Big Appreciation guys!!
Before I found Writing.Com my words were locked away on paper. Words are what make my world come to life. I feel blessed to be able to share mine with you. Thank You, MrSteve
When it came to my writing I was the shy and very insecure type. Not at all like my personality in real life. I was searching for help in regards to getting some help. Writing.Com was on the list in the search. Free membership, why not? It was the first time I let anyone read words that I have written. The encouragement and help I received pushed me into writing more and more. A gifted membership of an upgrade increased my love of this site. From there the rest is history. I am addicted and I pass this site on to anyone that shows an interest in writing. It is so worth the cruise through.
Writing.Com has changed the way I write. Before Writing.Com there was no one to look at my writing. I had no friends intrested in reading other then anything that which they were forced to read. And I was afraid to send my work to magazines for publication (afraid of failure or success I don't know.)... Because you see, I'm only 13, but I don't write material necessarily apropriate for most teen magazines; action and horror thrillers were just not what they were after, and I didn't write anything else. So I came across Writing.Com and it was everything I needed; a place where people could see my work and read it regardless of age. I can also make friends here, among people that share a common interest. I am no longer afraid of publication. Thanks to Writing.Com I can say "bring it on." And I mean it.
I joined Writing.Com yesterday and it is terrific! Not only can I write and let others read it, but I get the most encouraging and helpful encouragement that I think everyone should get! Let Writing.Com be the HotTopic website in the world!
Wow! I found a home here for wayward writers. I spend hours in here and often neglect other things. But the people here are wonderful and really willing to help. All you have to do is ask! It's great. I loose sleep, skip other chores, irritate my husband on occassion (though he's very understanding as long as I don't burn dinner ). I've gotten wonderfully helpful reviews and hope to stay a long time. I believe I've made friends here and we'll stick together for a long time--as long as people need dreams, there will be writers to help provide them.
I stumbled onto Writing.Com sometime back in May of 2005. I signed up for a free membership and bookmarked the site along with the thousand other favorites I had collected. I would periodically receive e-mails from Writing.Com but would log in just to satisfy my member standing. A little over a year later I was organizing my favorites and that day spent time wandering through the Writing.Com site. What had I been missing? This site is a must for any person who is a writer or a fan of reading other peoples work. I immediately upgraded my membership and have been logged in daily, reading, writing, reviewing, and admiring the works of others. This has helped my own writing. Free memberships are available but the upgrade is well worth the cost.
I've been putting pen to paper for the past 5 years, and never have I been one to post things on a website for all to read. However, after joining Writing.Com, I was pleasantly surprised to see constructive criticism and compliments that helped me overcome my fear of others seeing my work; after all, language is a gift to be enjoyed by all!
